The Mandalorian and Grogu Spoiler Free Review
“The Mandalorian and Grogu” is a good Star Wars movie, but not amazing or terrible. It’s just fine to watch. It feels like a condensed version of three or four episodes of a TV show, but that’s okay!
Mando and Grogu are a perfect team. They complement each other’s strengths and cover each other’s weaknesses. They’re truly a team for life. This movie focuses on Grogu and his growing independence. He doesn’t need anyone to save him; he’s becoming a capable survivalist on his own, carrying his own weight.
He’s strong, smart, and capable, even though he’s small. In this film, he plays a big role in moving the story forward. He saves characters, saves himself, and uses his teachings from his father figure (Mando) in unique ways. He’s truly a Mandalorian and a Jedi in training. He wears this adorable yet functional outfit throughout the film, including a shield, a flamethrower, some bombs, and he uses them perfectly.
Mando is a force to be reckoned with here. He’s definitely the Batman of this story. The way he fights, moves, and trains Grogu reminds me of Batman and Robin. There are also some secondary characters that add charming moments throughout the film and some new, bold allies.
I don’t want to spoil too much, but while there aren’t any major moments or characters that can spoil, the details and character moments are just as satisfying and impactful.
Yes, there will be more from “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” They have a lot more story to tell with these two characters, even as individuals. If they decide to go their separate ways, there are literally many stories you can tell with each of them.
If you’re entering The Mandalorian with the thought of a condensed TV show season transformed into a two-hour movie, you’ll be in for a treat as the story unfolds before your eyes. Sure, you might notice the runtime because it does feel like a condensed TV season, but that’s the only thing I can say that might be a downside.
The action was superb! The many fights were truly breathtaking in IMAX. I have to mention that I’ve seen it in IMAX, so my experience might differ from yours depending on your viewing experience. However, there are some truly beautiful and breathtaking cinematic battles in this movie.
I’d give The Mandalorian and Grogu 6 blue milk cookies out of 10.
